Jay got ready at her parent’s house. I was mesmerised watching Jay get fitted into her bridal sari. Mesmerised not only by the technique involved but also by the most beautiful jewelled material used. With the help of Sarah Thong Make-up Artist and Hair by Farin from Chromium Hair, Jay looked stunning! Meanwhile the boys were getting ready at The Pullman Hotel. Marty’s friend also made sure the groom would look equally as “stunning” by stepping up as the groom’s hairstylist.
Jay was greeted by the bestman with the bouquet and then led to where Marty was waiting for their “First Look”. We were very fortunate to be working alongside with Ryan + Breony who were also documenting the day through videography.
The ceremony and reception took place at Tavernetta and as always it was a pleasure working with wedding coordinator, Phuong from Ben & Paris Wedding Boutique.
The ceremony was enriched with Sri Lankan tradition and even more meaningful was the Poruwa where the Bride and Groom stood under was built by Jay’s dad. After some very memorable speeches, the bridal party rocked it out with a surprise dance routine (that they only put together a couple of days beforehand!). Of course plenty of food was catered by Sucil catering and then everyone got up and danced to some grooving live music performed by Sex and Chocolate group.
